An opinion I value.
Regardless of the propaganda surrounding this date (tomorrow here) I value Johns opinion highly enough to take my own basic precautions. A day without a cellphone is not a major and we will all probably have to learn to live without them at some stage soon anyway.
If not for who he is and his intellect I would have ignored it. Make your own call on this info but do at least read it.

FWIW NZ had a similar nationwide test in May without calamitous results
